Closing (or settlement) is the process which passes ownership of a property from seller to purchaser. Your closing appointment can be confusing if you don't have an understanding of some of the terms used.
There are several steps in the process. To learn more about the construction of your Beazer home, take the interactive tour: "Your Home in Progress".
As you know, a lot is going on with your home during the construction process. There are many dangerous conditions on a job site that are not always easy to see. So the safest bet is to wait until you are scheduled to be on the site for a visit. That way a trained member of the construction team can not only walk you through your home but can also answer any questions in the process.
Your Design Consultants are a team of professionals who will assist you with the decorator selections of your new home. The Design Consultant will provide guidance and information required to personalize your home. The consultant will verify your sales information, explain the standard features of your new home, explain the construction schedule, create the data necessary to supply to the construction team to complete and deliver your home on schedule. Your Design Consultant will review the standard features for your home, cut-off guideline and disclosures. During your appointment, we will finalize all of your included and optional features selections.
Plan ahead for your Design Studio appointment. To help insure that the decorator items you select match your tastes and lifestyle you may want to bring, fabric swatches, wallpaper samples, photographs of furniture, pictures from magazines or brochures of cabinets, countertops, and flooring.
Your earnest money deposit funds must always be verified as clearing your account before the statement date. You can provide a copy of both sides of the cancelled check or a bank statement showing the check has cleared.
Beazer will be able to provide you with an estimated date of closing and occupancy throughout the process, but there are many variables that occur in the construction process. Usually, it's best to wait until about 30 days prior to close to set a tenative date with movers or trucking companies, and to secure that date at 14 days prior to close.
As soon as all the paper work is signed on your closing date, you can start moving your things into your new house.
